Directing is a modern manual covering all important problems of contemporary theory and practice of organization of management. It provides a lecture of the state-of-the-art knowledge in this area as well an introduction into the issues of management in the 21st century.
Along with an analysis of individual functions of directing, a reader will find here a discussion of the most important problems of management in today’s world, such as changing roles and requirements, in particular with respect to higher rank managers in modern organizations (global manager), aspects of activity involving the environmental protection, social responsibility of an enterprise, ethical issues concerning management, globalization of economy and of corporate activities, entrepreneurship, culture of organization, multi-cultural issues, an increasing role of quality in management.
