Legal status of the academic teacher – selected aspects. Current state and projection for the future. Report on the 10th Szubert Seminar

On October 26, 2023, the Tenth Szubert's Seminar was held in the courtroom at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Lodz, organized by the Department of Labor Law, the Department of European, International and Collective Labor Law of the University of Lodz and the Cooperante Polish Scientific Network of Labor Law and Social Security. The meeting was devoted to the issue of the professional situation of university teachers, primarily in the context of the Law of July 20, 2018. – Law on Higher Education and Science.

Legal mechanisms ensuring protection of the on-call workers in the selected EU jurisdictions in the light of implementation of Directive 2019/1152 to the Polish legal system

This article aims to analyze the legislation in selected EU countries in the light of the Directive 2019/1152. The author focuses on the provisions of the Directive which are to improve the on-call workers protection standards. Based on the presented studies, the author also attempts to formulate the conclusions concerning the implementation of the Directive into Polish legal system.
