The purpose of the paper is to assess the greenhouse gas emissions of electric city buses in the member states of the European Union

The paper presents the results of the greenhouse gas emission assessment for charging city bus batteries using the power grid in each EU country. The analysis covered the time frame from 2015–2050. A comparative analysis of greenhouse gas emissions of an electric bus and a bus with an internal combustion engine was also carried out.
