Dr Natalia Szozda

Natalia Szozda is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Logistics, Wroclaw University of Economics and Business in Poland and Manager of Logistics Programme of Studies. She also serves as a consultant in GlobalLogic, a digital product engineering company. She has been participating in more than fifty conferences, symposiums, and meetings in Europe, America and Asia. She took a leading role in four research projects financed by the National Research Centre in Poland, including demand management, resilient supply chains, network governance, and effects of blockchain technology on supply chain emergence. She is an author and co-author of scientific monographs and several research manuscripts published in leading academic journals such as Supply Chain Management: An International Journal, and Electronic Markets.

Due to the new purchasing trends, omnichannels in the product distribution are exposed to dynamic changes. One of such changes is the digital transformation, which affects not only the way the purchases are made, but also transport, collection of products by customers and management of product returns. Oftentimes, these activities are transferred to the virtual world, and they are performed with the use of innovative technology. The aim of this paper is to present the use of in-store and out-store technologies in the omnichannel structure from the perspective of new emerging purchasing trends.
