Pandemia a dobrostan żywieniowy konsumentów w Polsce – analiza porównawcza

Żywność i praktyki żywieniowe są istotną sferą życia, która ma wpływ na jego jakość i odczuwany dobrostan jednostki. Celem artykułu było określenie wpływu pandemii COVID-19 na dobrostan żywieniowy (FWB – food well-being) konsumentów w Polsce. Badanie przeprowadzono metodą analizy porównawczej, wykorzystując skalę Satisfaction with Food-related Life Scale (SWFL) do pomiaru FWB wśród 2687 respondentów w czterech różnych okresach: przed pandemią, w pierwszym i drugim roku pandemii oraz u jej schyłku. Do identyfikacji segmentów konsumentów na podstawie poziomu FWB zastosowano analizę skupień. Wyniki wykazały znaczące zmiany w postrzeganiu dobrostanu żywieniowego w czasie pandemii. Najwyższe oceny FWB odnotowano przed pandemią i u jej schyłku, podczas gdy najniższe w drugim roku pandemii. Wyniki badań ujawniły, że kryzys wpłynął na zwiększenie świadomości konsumentów odnośnie do zdrowego odżywiania, jednakże stres i ograniczenia związane z pandemią miały negatywny wpływ na jakość życia żywieniowego wielu osób. Wyniki podkreślają złożoność relacji między kryzysami zdrowotnymi a żywieniowymi praktykami oraz ich wpływ na dobrostan psychiczny i fizyczny. Mogą wspierać działania na rzecz utrzymania wysokiego poziomu FWB w trudnych czasach kryzysu, zwracając szczególną uwagę na grupy najbardziej narażone na negatywne skutki zmian w dostępie do żywności i sposobach jej konsumpcji.
