Organizational citizenship behaviors: Its nature, antecedents, and effects
Often in organizations employees should take actions that are not compulsory but may cause positive organizational results. Such activities mostly are called organizational citizenship behaviors. The concept appeared in the scientific literature in the eighties and is still very popular among management scholars. However there are few publications about organizational citizenship behaviors in polish literature. This being the case, in the article theoretical and empirical information about organizational citizenship behaviors were presented. First of all: meaning, types, considerations, and effects of such behaviors were discussed. In the article were also presented gaps in knowledge about organizational citizenship behaviors.
