Agnieszka Skowrońska, PhD Dsc of economic sciences in the area of economics, associate professor, academic teacher most closely related with in University of Economics in Wroclaw, with the Faculty of Economics, Management and Tourism in Jelenia Gora (the Chair of Strategic Management and Logistics), but also with Upper Austria University of Applied Science, Steyr Campus, and Ternopil National Economic University (Ukrainian-Dutch Faculty of Economics and Management). In 2006 fellow of the Salzburg Global Seminar. Since 2008 performs the function of an independent expert of: Foresight “Polska 2020” National Program, National Research and Development Center, Polish-Norwegian Scientific Research Fund. In her Faculty actively participates in works of several commissions (i.a. the Commission for the Quality of Education, for Scholar Staff Development, for Development of the Faculty, for Good Academic Practices). Member of the Editorial Committee of Scholar Work of UE in Wroclaw and of Scientific Boards of several magazines. Author of around 70 publications published in numerous magazines having national and international range. Co-author of academic manuals, a script, monographs, and co-editor of collective monographs. Her monograph Rola polityki logistycznej państwa we wdrażaniu zrównoważonego rozwoju (The role of the state logistical policy in implementation of sustainable development, UE Press, Wroclaw 2009) and a series of publications in the field of macro-logistics and logistical policy, intended for interdisciplinary scientific and expert circles, and politicians, rank, according to reviewers’ opinions, among pioneering work, not only on the national scale (published, i.a. in Gospodarka Materiałowa i Logistyka monthly magazine.
Her scientific interests include:
- human resources in logistical chains management;
- organization and managing a worker team;
- role of sector-specific policies in postmodern world (with particular emphasis on transport policy);
- logistics on microeconomic scale; logistics on macroeconomic scale (logistics in the state economic policy);
- role of the logistical policy in implementation of sustainable development;
- sustainable logistical technologies;
- social prerequisites of corporate development;
- International and inter-cultural management.
Co-developed the Action Plan for Environment-friendly Technologies, adopted by the government of the Republic of Poland and integrated as an element of the Environmental Technologies Action Plan for the European Union), one of executive plans under the Lisbon Strategy. On the basis of her knowledge and experience in the area of micro- and meta-logistical systems; author of many analyses and evaluations of logistical systems dedicated to business entities operating on the Polish market. Runs training courses in the area of logistics, organization and management of worker team and development of foreign markets entry strategies.
