The Personal Data Protection Act of 10 May 2018 (J.L. of 2018 Item 1000) introduced new provisions to the Labour Code, art. 222 and 223, specifying the rules on employee monitoring. These regulations are groundbreaking, as so far the issue has not been, in principle, the subject of interest of the Polish legislator. Particular attention was paid to the employee’s official email control, although there are some objections to the adopted regulations. The article contains an analysis of regulations regarding the mentioned form of monitoring.
