Most often, the contemporary supply chains are nowadays analyzed from the perspective of triadic arrangements, which brings an understanding of the complexity and dynamics of changes in inter-organizational structures. In this paper, the structural hole and closure as two basic forms of triads are depicted to elaborate on the emergence of network rent in supply chains, as the uneven distribution of network rent derived from the inter-organizational structures is still a vital issue. The goal of this paper is thus to identify and explain the phenomenon of network rent appropriation in triadic supply chains. Likewise, the paper seeks to recognize the possibility of estimating network rent in supply chains.

The article carries out an argument justifying the stabilizing role of logistics in achieving well-being in a period of surprising and unexpected changes. The arguments presented are based on time-varying relations between logistics and well-being as well as on the reactivity of logistics to changes in the environment.

The main purpose of this article is to discuss the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on daily mobility of Warsaw residents. Another issue concerns how city residents perceive traffic congestion. The source basis are the results of studies, which were conducted on a purposively selected sample of 300 inhabitants of Warsaw, as well as the statistics data collected by Warsaw Roads Administration, Public Transport Authority and Statistical Office in Warsaw. The conducted study confirms and develops previous research and proves that urban mobility has been strongly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Warsaw road network is characterized by a high level of congestion and the most common reasons are: too many passenger cars and too low road network capacity to handle the flow.

The article is of a theoretical and practical nature and it contains a statistical analysis. It presents the problem of the occurrence of accidents reported for transport activities and storage in Poland in 2014–2019 (a six-year analysis). The analysis included the determination of accident rates: frequency and severity of consequences. The demographic characteristics of the injured persons, such as sex, age, length of service, were also analyzed. The conducted analyzes allowed for an assessment of occupational safety in the field of transport activities and storage. The conducted study made it possible to identify groups of workers that are most often exposed to accidents at work. The aim of the study was to assess occupational safety in the field of transport activities and storage, taking particular account of and identifying professional groups to which special attention should be paid during training in the area of building awareness of safe behavior in the workplace. Identification of professional groups in which accidents are most often registered and the application of effective protective and training prophylaxis may translate into an improvement in work safety.
