The basic role of the accountancy is to provide information about material and financial condition, and profitability of a business unit – information that is presented in a systemic and ordered manner in financial statements. For such information to be reliable and meet the needs of reporting it is necessary to run the books in line with the principles of sound accountancy and in compliance with legal provisions in force. Taking this into account, the Authors of the book describe how individual issued should be presented in accountancy, indicating their relationships with respective elements of the financial statement. As a result, the objective of applying some specific recording and settlement procedures becomes clearly visible. Another strength of the book is that each chapter is supplemented with tests and exercises, including solutions.

The book was written by scholars from the Institute of Accountancy of Szczecin University and of the Chair of Accountancy of the West-Pomeranian University of Technology.

The publication is addressed to readers interested in both theoretical and practical aspects of accountancy, and in particular to students in the faculties of economics, students of post-graduate studies, participants of various types of courses and training. It may also be useful to persons professionally dealing with bookkeeping, finance, management and controlling.

Logistics of the future ID: 1614322192

Logistics of the future is a philosophy that enables to design activities better, more effectively and efficiently, despite an increasing factor of volatility. The book covers various areas and shows different ways in which logistics can be applied — starting with delivery of natural gas, through environmental movement related with recycling, cooperation with hey providers to logistics operators i.e. transport companies, ending with IT systems without which logistics could not evolve. The last chapter describes how logistics is used in expedition projects (mainly in high mountains).
The publication was co-written by doctoral students of the Warsaw School of Economics as well as by practitioners with considerable experience in the areas of their respective professional interests. The aim of the book was to use that variable basis to create a matrix of possibilities of using logistics in even broader a scope than this is done at present.
The analysis of situation in the years 2010 and 2011 suggests a transformation is beginning in the hitherto-prevalent business models of enterprises. Does that mean that forecasts based upon the past are going to increasingly lose their importance and the theory of chaos will become the fundament for action in the future?

Advertisement ID: 855861402

This is a new, modified and extended edition of the popular book dedicated to the issues of advertisement. The Author, Jacek Kall, explains in it what is advertisement and how it works. He suggests how to develop a strategy of advertisement and teaches which components add up to that type of strategy, where and how the essential information may be found, at whom advertisement should be targeted and to which purpose, what and how can be promised in commercials, how to prepare the media plan and how much to spend on advertisement. The book also helps to choose the relevant media and types of advertisement and clarifies how to carry out the initial testing of a commercial and how to measure the effectiveness of an advertising campaign.
