Tomasz Domański is full Professor in the Faculty of International and Political Science Studies where he heads the Chair of International Marketing and Distribution. In the years 2008–2016 he performed the function of the Dean and earlier, in the years 2002–2008 – that of associate dean for education and foreign cooperation. In the strategy of development of the Faculty he resolutely emphasized its internationalization, resulting in nearly a hundred agreements on international cooperation being signed, along with extensive students and members of scholar staff exchange under the Erasmus program and far-reaching diversification of the structure of foreign students. In 2015 there were students from as many as 50 countries around the world studying in WSMiP. Professor Domański’s another achievement was launching a new business specialization of studies, International Marketing taught in English, at B.A., M.A. and post-graduate levels, that gained significant popularity among students, Polish and foreign alike. The share of foreign students in the junior year of that specialization verges on 65% which is by far the highest in the University of Lodz. Professor T. Domański is a proponent of interdisciplinary formula in both education and research. Since 1991 he also heads the Polish-French Managerial Studies (MBA), delivered in close cooperation with the Institute of Corporate Management at the University Lyon 3 in France, and offering the graduates the French Master diploma and the Polish MBA diploma. Member of the Council of the Entrepreneurship Development Foundation in Lodz. In his scientific work he deals with strategies of international commercial networks, strategies of internationalization of universities, marketing of institutions of culture, and city marketing. Promoted 12 doctors in the area of management.
