Dr inż. Ireneusz Kaczmar

A computer engineer with a master's degree in economics. In 2011, he received his PhD in economics from the Faculty of Management and Social Communication at Jagiellonian University. He is currently employed as a lecturer at the State Academy of Applied Sciences in Przemyśl at the Institute of Technical Sciences, where he teaches economics and management. His main research interests are: quantitative methods in management and the application of computer simulations in industry. He has about many years of professional experience in process optimization, simulation model design and multi-criteria decision-making systems. He is the author of international scientific articles.

The purpose of the article is a multi-criteria evaluation of train composition in terms of travel comfort and safety on selected routes in Poland. The study includes train sets with different configurations of cars and locomotives that run on popular lines, without taking into account the condition of the railroad track infrastructure. The evaluation will be made based on the knowledge of experts, who are railroad employees. The proposed research method is an analytical hierarchical process (AHP). The scope of the work includes an examination of seven popular train sets operating on selected routes in the context of their capacity. The author intends to achieve the purpose of the work by reviewing the state of the art, identifying influential factors, selecting routes, selecting train compositions, analyzing economic, technical, quality and safety factors. Finally, a final ranking of the results will be created. The research is based on the knowledge of train crew experts with extensive professional experience. The results were aggregated by computer using Expert Choice software.

During the 20th century humanity moved from the information society to the knowledge society. Rapid development of the IT rearranged many economic branches, advancing the unique business models which were unattainable using the classical production factors such as land, labor and capital. As of today, one of the fastest growing markets is the video game industry. This article presents the worldwide development of the video game industry, business models produced by this market as well as consumers' preferences. The study presents the current state of the video game industry in Poland and globally and summarizes the perspective of future development using the blockchain technology.
